Chris Lethbridge
PANDA Board Member
After graduating from art school, Chris moved to Manchester and enjoyed a checkered career as an artist. His connections to performance began with the support of the greenroom, which took the risky step of commissioning him to produce a piece of performance art for the concourse of Piccadilly Station - an episode in Manchester’s cultural history that is perhaps best forgotten.
That was a long time ago and after operating the usual artist’s mixed economy of teaching, exhibiting, writing, voluntary work and washing up, Chris finally found his niche working for Castlefield Gallery to develop opportunities for the city’s community of artists.
This was followed by a short spell working in public art for two councils before joining the Creative Industries Development Service (CIDS) where he now works as a member of the development team with responsibility for business start-up.
Chris counts his role as one of PANDA’s co-founders as one of his most important achievements whilst working for CIDS.
