ShowStarter and Training Programmes
In 2006/7 PANDA piloted ShowStarter, a programme offering industry-led business development training and advice to final year students and recent graduates of Salford University and PANDA members.
Aimed at improving the work prospects of all participants, ShowStarter is designed to provide information and signpost to other available opportunities and support networks.

In the pilot year ShowStarter successfully reached 113 beneficiaries from graduates to final year students, as well as emerging companies in the first stages of development. Within the pilot programme there were four masterclasses, twelve seminars, a networking event, two intensive courses and seven afternoons of advice drop in sessions.
Details of the new ShowStarter programme will be announced first via the PANDA Website and PANDA Network Newsletter. PANDA members can sign up for ShowStarter during registration or after their membership is approved by editing their details.

PANDA also deliver other Training Programmes including trainee producer schemes, intensive summer schools and a business incubation programme.

Higher and Further Education establishments, youth and adult theatre groups and other performing arts organisations can commission a bespoke ShowStarter or Training Programme to be delivered to beneficiaries in-house, from a single introductory session to a full year-long syllabus.
