Bidisha is a writer, critic, broadcaster and human rights activist whose career began when she was 14, writing for arts publications internationally. She has presented the following shows and series for BBC Radio 3, Radio 4 and the World Service: Night Waves, The Word, The Strand, Heart and Soul, Saturday Review and Woman's Hour. She is a regular contributor to Front Row on Radio 4 and to The Big Questions and The Review Show on BBC TV. She writes on the arts and social justice for the Observer, the FT, the New Statesman, Drawbridge and the F Word and has a weekly column in the Guardian. Bidisha's first novel came out when she was 18 and she has judged the 2009 Orange Prize and the 2010 John Llewellyn Rhys prize. Her most recent book is Venetian Masters and her next book will be Beyond the Wall: Writing a Path Through Palestine out in March 2012.
