Katherine Warman

Katherine is a designer and performer with a background in dance and masked performance. Since graduating in 2005 her work has also included roles as a design assistant, scenic artist, and costume supervisor for film. Katherine's design work has included studio shows such as 'Stone Moon' at Nottingham Playhouse, as well as small scale touring work such as 'The Three Graces' by LaurieLorry Theatre. In 2006 Katherine was one of the artists accepted onto the 'In Residence' at Leicester Haymarket Theatre. Through this Katherine devised the intimate theatre piece 'Night Skin', which showcased her skills as a performer as well as designer/maker. Alongside her design work Katherine has been involved in helping deliver education programmes for companies such as Nottingham Playhouse and the SBTD. Katherine also delivers weekly performing arts workshops to primary children for an arts education company. She is currently one of Contact Manchester's Future Fires. Through this scheme Katherine will be delivering a community outreach project for young teenagers using masks as a tool for expression.
