More About PayPal

PayPal is a service which allows anyone with an email address to securely, conveniently and cost-effectively send and receive payments online.

Setting up a PayPal account is easy. It’s free to register and takes just a couple of minutes.

PayPal is also one of the most secure ways to send money as your bank or card details are never revealed to the recipient.

Once you have set up your PayPal account you can use it to send payments to anyone with an email address, not just PANDA. You can receive money through your new account too!

Online Safety - Avoiding Phishing Scams

PANDA want you to remain safe online and we are confident that PayPal offers one of the most safe and secure services available. However, as PayPal is such a popular service its name is often used by fraudsters who send fake 'phishing' emails designed to steal your identity. These fraudulent emails claim to be from a well-known company such as PayPal and ask you to disclose sensitive personal information, such as credit and debit card numbers or account passwords.

A typical phishing email will contain links that take you to a fraudulent website, where you will be asked to enter personal information. The website is of course designed to make you think you are giving the information to a trusted company, when in fact you’re supplying it to a fraudster or identity thief.

PayPal will never ask for credit, debit or bank account numbers, email addresses or passwords in an email. Genuine PayPal emails will always use your full name or company name, never 'Dear PayPal Member' or a similar anonymous greeting.

Never follow the links from emails which you suspect to be fraudulent phishing emails. Instead visit the PayPal website to find out what action to take.
