Proper Job Theatre Company

Established in 1985, Proper Job has a history of profound engagement, creating exciting projects using theatre and drama to meet specific community needs.

Our activities explore emotional literacy and its impact on emotional health and well-being, citizenship, self-esteem, self-awareness, self-confidence, optimism and empathy and how greater ability in this area can re-engage the hard to reach or disaffected, can empower individuals and inspire positive change.

Proper Job produces high quality theatre using the biomechanical technique.
Our productions tour to community venues including schools and normally include full costume, impressive sets, lighting, music and are fully blacked out to provide a memorable experience for audience and participants.

Proper Job and Sister company Talia Theatre have now merged and become Proper Job Theatre Company.
Past performances include Robin Hood, Dracula, We won the Cup, Brave New World.
We have an upcoming performance of "The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe" being performed at Darwen Library Theatre.
