April Creative Conversation with Visiting Arts
The next PANDA Creative Conversation takes place on Tuesday 7th April 2009 at greenroom, our partners in the Creative Conversations series.
PANDA members with at least two years professional experience are invited to apply to join the pool of participants for Creative Conversations. Once selected pool participants are then eligible to attend the monthly events, including our April event:
Working Internationally: Strengthening Intercultural Understanding
With special guest speaker Sabrina Smith-Noble from Visiting Arts.
Visiting Arts' purpose is to strengthen intercultural understanding through the arts by creating opportunities for artists to explore new connections and expanding the skills and knowledge of new and existing cultural players for a diverse and sustainable arts environment.
Sabrina will begin with a short presentation on the work of Visiting Arts to give participants an overview of the organisation and its relevant programmes, but is keen to quickly move into a discussion.
Sabrina says “As we’re continually reflecting on our programmes to facilitate the needs of the UK cultural sector in engaging internationally; I’d like to take the opportunity to explore how appropriate our current programmes are in creating opportunities for the performing arts sector. The relevant Visiting Arts’ programmes are: Artist to Artist, Creative Collaborations, Artist residencies and 1 Square mile.”
Take a closer look at the Visiting Arts programmes and come prepared for some stimulating discussion that can hopefully influence the policy makers as they review their provision.

Creative Conversations are intimate forums for debate, discussion and informal networking for more established performing arts practitioners.
Creative Conversations take place on the first Tuesday of every month at greenroom.

are be invited to attend each Creative Conversations event. There is a fee of £8 per session which contributes to
the cost of refreshments and bringing in the VIP speakers.
