Free Place on Emotional Intelligence Training for One PANDA Member
Deadline extended!
As part of our ongoing commitment to support the professional development of performing arts practitioners in the region, we are very pleased to be able to offer a free place on the forthcoming Emotional Intelligence Training course to one PANDA member.
If you are an arts practitioner or professional who would be interested in developing your people management skills we would like to invite you to join us on this two day course, brought to you by Leadership Lab.
Psychology and Techniques – Emotional Intelligence Training
For Middle Managers, Team Leaders and Mentors in the Arts Sector
This is thought provoking and dynamic training essential to those interested in leading/managing people with skill and integrity.
It seeks to address some of the knowledge gaps that exist between middle and senior management and encourage a leadership culture, within cultural organisations, of enhanced communication and ‘people awareness’.
Overall aim: To give participants an enhanced understanding of emotional intelligence (EQ) and how to use psychology and techniques in the work place.
Through theory, discussion, and role-play, participants will focus on their self-awareness, including their self-regulation, motivation and empathy when managing or leading others
Content: Over two days, Dr Mark Hughes will lead 16 participants through topics that include
- listening and questioning techniques
- influencing others
- core communication
- tuning into personalities
- giving feedback
- conflict resolution
Where: TBC, Manchester
When: Wednesday 3rd & Thursday 4th February 2010, 10am-4.30pm each day.
Leadership Lab is a dynamic partnership between four North West based organisations – GMMAZ (Greater Manchester Music Action Zone), Music Leader North West, PANDA (Performing Arts Network and Development Agency) and Substance. Leadership Lab is funded by Cultural Leadership Programme's Meeting the Challenge development programme.
We are working together to develop an experimental, credible and aspirational model of leadership learning/development.
