PANDA Becomes 500th Skills Bank Beneficiary

Business in the Arts: North West (BIA:NW) recently reached another milestone with their 500th Skills Bank project. Kirsty Ward of Marks & Spencer Money is advising PANDA on the development of a marketing action plan for promoting its services.
Earned income is essential to PANDA’s sustainability, and there is great potential for generating income from a package of new and updated services launched in 2007.
When Rachel Morton, PANDA’s Network Manager, approached BIA:NW for help, she was very clear about what was needed: an efficient marketing action plan that would enable the core staff to exploit income earning potential without impacting too heavily on their workload.
Enter Kirsty Ward, a Marketing Manager at Marks & Spencer Money in Chester, where she manages the team responsible for marketing the &MORE Credit Card.
Says Rachel “Kirsty asked all the right questions at our first meeting and fully understood our needs. She has inspired me that I had the tools already, I just needed the confidence to carry it out.”
Kirsty adds “Rachel’s application was very well thought out and my main task at the first meeting was to encourage the team not to attempt too much, but to plan marketing activity in manageable stages.”
Although we had to queue for their adviser, such was the demand for marketing assistance, Kirsty was worth waiting for.
Dorothy Taylor of BIA:NW says “This is a blueprint for a successful project – the arts manager knows just what is needed, the adviser is sensitive to that and they are both very clear about the goals.”
We're very proud to be involved with the BIA:NW Skills Bank project and can't wait to put all that great marketing advice into action! You've been warned...
