Resources Update: More 'So You Want To Be...' plus New Reviews Feature

PANDA intend to develop their member resources over the next couple of months, with plans to expand the fantastic So You Want To Be… resource and introduce a new Reviews feature, which would provide a platform for members to share their reviews of performing arts events in the region.

More 'So You Want To Be...'

We are currently planning to further develop the successful So You Want To Be… resource, which is aimed at de-mystifying the process of beginning an arts career. Working with established arts practitioners and professionals, the programme seeks to use real life case studies to illustrate difficulties you might expect to encounter in your chosen career and possible ways of overcoming them, as well as keying you in to resources to help you along.

We have already carried out case studies of 11 performing arts professionals and presented the results of these insightful interviews as fact sheets and downloadable audio recordings or ‘podcasts’. Go check out the So You Want To Be... resource now and send us your feedback:

  • Are there any other roles in the performing arts you would like to see covered?

  • Is there anyone in particular that you’d love to hear from?

  • Would you like to share your experiences of working as a professional in the performing arts?

We really want to make this resource as useful to you as possible, and tailored to your particular concerns and questions. Contact Rachel on 0161 274 0626 or email rachel@panda-arts.org.uk with your feedback.

New Reviews Feature

In addition to the expansion of the So You Want To Be... resource we are also planning a new Reviews feature on the website, allowing PANDA members to share reviews of recent shows and events they have attended, giving other listeners an insight to what’s hot and what’s not in the arts world.

We’d love to hear what you think of this idea:

  • Would you like to see reviews on the PANDA website?

  • Do we need another platform for reviews of the independent performing arts sector in the region? How could we make it different from what already exists?

  • Are you a budding journalist who would like to submit reviews of the shows you’ve seen?

  • Would you like to read written reviews, listen to audio podcasts, or both?

If you are at all interested in this plan then please do get in touch with your comments and suggestions. We need to get an idea of the support for this idea before we go ahead with putting it in place.

Contact Rachel on 0161 274 0626 or email rachel@panda-arts.org.uk with your feedback.

We look forward to hearing from you!
