September Creative Conversation with PANDA's Own Anne-Marie Crowther
The next PANDA Creative Conversation takes place on Tuesday 1st September 2009 at greenroom, our partners in the Creative Conversations series.
PANDA members with at least two years professional experience are invited to apply to join the pool of participants for Creative Conversations. Once selected, pool participants are then eligible to attend the monthly events, including our the next Creative Conversation:
Meet the New Director
With special guest speaker Anne-Marie Crowther, the new PANDA Director.
The next Creative Conversation will have a slightly different format as it will focus on PANDA itself! New PANDA Director, Anne-Marie Crowther, will be officially introducing herself to the group, talking a little about her experience prior to joining PANDA, and sharing some of her ideas around future plans.
However, most of all, she is hoping that you will do most of the talking – about what works for you and what doesn’t, what would make the North West the ideal environment for you to create and present work, and what role PANDA can play in this.
In addition, PANDA will shortly be participating in a focus group evaluating Grants for the Arts, so Anne-Marie will also be seeking your thoughts and recommendations to feedback to the Arts Council on this subject.
Anne-Marie will lead a Creative Conversation about:
The Performing Arts in the North West
- What is the future of the performing arts in the current climate?
- What support do independent performance artists in the NW need?
- Is there anything that members would like from PANDA that we are currently not providing?
- What could members do to support PANDA?
Grants for the Arts
- Examples of good and bad experiences with this Arts Council scheme
- Does it need to be changed in any way in terms of the questions, the process, the timescales, the terms and conditions, the criteria?
- What feedback can PANDA give to the Arts Council on behalf of its members?

Creative Conversations are intimate forums for debate, discussion and informal networking for more established performing arts practitioners.
Creative Conversations take place on the first Tuesday of every month at greenroom.
