September Marks a Change in Staffing at PANDA
Exciting news about staffing changes at PANDA HQ for the rest of this year...
Director, Liz O’Neill will be taking a secondment from her usual
duties at the helm of PANDA to take the role of Acting Executive Producer at Contact while the current post-holder takes an extended leave. From 16th September until 31st December 2008, Liz’s time at PANDA will be restricted to two days per week.
PANDA has engaged Julia Turpin to cover Liz's duties for that period. Many of you will know Julia, who has been working within the arts in Greater Manchester for a number of years. As a freelance consultant, Julia has worked with M6 Theatre, Quarantine and Oldham Arts Unit, and in recent years in the role of Director of Contacting the World.
Julia’s substantial and varied experiences will bring many benefits to PANDA. Alongside Rachel, Julia will be the first point of contact for PANDA members and our partners from mid-September to December. She will be delivering the one-to-one meetings, providing mentoring for the PANDA Producers Consortium, managing our project management service and concentrating on project fundraising so that we can kick-start 2009 with some really exciting new initiatives.
Liz O’Neill says “I am sure that having Julia's input into PANDA for the next few months will be very beneficial for the organisation and all our members and I'm looking forward to hearing what fresh ideas she might bring. Likewise, I am sure that I can draw on my experiences at Contact and put them to good use for PANDA in 2009.”
Julia will be contactable from 15th September 2008 onwards at julia@panda-arts.org.uk or on 0161 274 0629.
