We’re now looking for artists and companies to take part in Creative Breaks.

The idea is that PANDA supports 12 individuals and 12 companies/ artists to come together and complete a 2-week, structured work placement. We intend to set up a range of placements across the performing arts sector and match up participants with their specific interests. PANDA will work closely with the company to choose the right person and support in all aspects of the planning and delivery of the placement, with a view to creating structured activities that will be of benefit to both participant and company. Arts Award accreditation will also be available for participants.

The two week placements will take place between September 2009 and April 2010 based on the availability of each artist/company.

We hope that Creative Breaks will act as a model for other companies and artists to engage young and disabled people in their work, and help to provide new pathways into the industry.

If you are interested in participating in Creative Breaks or would like further information please contact Gilly Bryan, Project Officer for Young People on 0161 274 0652 or email creativebreaks@panda-arts.org.uk.
